Biography |
In 2012, Ms. DiBongrazio graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance Studies. Her curriculum included Ballet and Modern technique, Improvisation, Choreography, Dance History, Kinesiology, and Theater tech among many others. Through USF's dance department she has the pleasure of studying with Doug Varone, Bill T Jones, Michael Foley, Lynne Wimmer, Sandra Robinson, John Parks, Andee Scott, Bliss Kohlmeyer, Paula Nunez, Osmany Montano, Casey Saxon, Daniel Ulbricht, Jennifer Archibald, and many more. She began her studies at Stewart Johnson Dance Academy in Hamilton, NJ where she won many regional titles, and national scholarships through West Coast Dance Explosion, New York City Dance Alliance, and National Dance Showcase, to name few. Amy took an interest in cheerleading as a young adult and was named a Universal Cheerleading Association's All Star in 2008. She took her knack for tumbling and stunting to the University of South Florida's Dance Program, where her athleticism manifested in the partnering involved with Modern Dance. Before graduating she traveled on scholarship to Paris, France where she worked closely with Michael Foley. At the end of the program at Micadanses, she performed work from Stephanie Batten Bland entitled "Une Chambre Ave Vue" as well as a self choreographed solo. Today, she specializes inspiring today's youth through sharing her passion for acrobatics, choreography, improvisation, modern/contemporary, and jazz dance.
